If you ask Thor Schrock what’s going on, you had better prepare yourself for a laundry list answer. Thor often describes himself as an idea factory that operates on an 80/20 principle. 80% of his ideas are garbage, but 20% are solid gold.
This constant spirit of innovation was the driving force behind his first brick-and-mortar business, Schrock Innovations. Under his leadership the company has been voted Lincoln’s #1 independent computer repair company every year since 2001.
As the demand for his easy to understand computer help grew, Thor started an hour-long radio program on KFOR 1240. The show is the top-rated program in its time slot, even beating out FM music stations.
Thor also reaches thousands of people each month with his computer repair and help tutorials. In 2005 Thor’s entrepreneurial success and drive to help people was recognized when the Lincoln Business Journal honored him as one of the top 40 business people under the age of 40 in Lincoln, NE.
When Thor is not helping people fix computers, he spends his time generating content for several websites. Thor’s writing caught the attention of Smart Computing Magazine, and he is now a frequent contributor to the publication. Smart Computing is distributed throughout the United States as well as in several countries in Europe.
Even with all of this going on, Thor manages to spend quality time with his wife Kimberly and their son Jacob working on their home, playing in the yard, or just enjoying some quiet time together – no computers involved.
