Dave Taylor has been involved with the Internet since it was just a dirt path in the woods: he first connected to the net in 1980. Since then he has been involved with the development and popularization of the network through his work as a research scientist at HP's R&D Labs, four different startups he founded, twenty business and technical books and innumerable publications in magazines and newspapers.
Dave holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science, a Masters in Educational Computing and an MBA, and has received a variety of academic and professional honors in his 25 year career. He has also served as a business advisor to startups, venture capital firms and local government agencies, and currently advises a variety of companies on an ongoing basis.
He has been involved with the world of blogs and blogging since 2003 and his AskDaveTaylor.com tech support site receives almost one million unique visitors each month. He also runs a highly-regarded business blog that has been cited in many prestigious publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal to the New York Times and BusinessWeek. A well-known and award-winning public speaker, Dave frequently talks about blogs and social networking to audiences large and small, co-hosted the Blog Business Summit in 2006 and is chairman of the Blog World Expo later this year in Las Vegas, Nevada.
